Surgical Technology Diploma Courses

Throughout surgical technology training, MedVance Institute students can take a number of career planning courses to help them manage their careers after graduation. At present, the surgical technology programs at various campuses either have or are in the process of becoming accredited by the Commission for Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). In order to sit for the national exam, a prestigious credential preferred by surgical technologists nationwide, you must graduate from a CAAHEP accredited school. General Information

MedVance Institute was founded in June of 1970 as the Cumberland School of Medical Technology in Cookeville, Tennessee. For nearly 40 years, MedVance has been training students for successful, lifelong careers in health care. School alumni have gone on to become health care professionals in all aspects of the field. MedVance currently has campuses in Florida, Texas, Louisiana, and Tennessee.

Programs are MedVance are focused on providing students with solid career experience that goes beyond simple classroom instruction. Coursework is focused more on real-life models that theoretical work. All programs at MedVance are designed to move quickly and train students for lucrative health care jobs in less than 2 years. A low teacher to student ratio ensures that all students get the individual attention they deserve in the classroom.

MedVance works with students to find a time frame that is most suited to their schedule. The school offers classes between the hours of 8pm and 10:30 pm, making it easier for students with fulltime jobs or other commitments to complete their education in a short timeframe. A career placement department offers vocational management classes for students, as well as assistance in post-graduate job placement.

For admission to any MedVance branch, applicants must possess a high school diploma or a GED. Some programs do accept home schooling or professional experience.
