Surgical Tech Duties

Prior to surgery a Surgical Tech will prep the patient, set up the operating room, making sure instruments and equipment are properly placed and working properly. During surgery they hold the instruments for the surgeon, keep an eye on the patient’s vital signs, and then help transport the patient to the recovery area. Surgeon’s and Registered Nurses supervise the Surgical Tech in performing their duties.
