Enrollment fee is nonrefundable in the states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Ohio, North Carolina, Nevada, Virginia, and Wisconsin. Students must withdraw before the close of business on the last day of the introductory period for tuition exemption. Students continuing beyond the introductory course will be responsible for tuition in full and the cost of course materials, including textbooks and uniforms.

Surgical technicians may gain employment in hospitals, assisting in operating rooms, preparing patients for surgery and even helping laboratory analysis.
Surgical technicians in Chicago may specialize as either scrub technicians or circulations technicians. Scrub technicians assist with sterile instruments prior to and during surgery. Circulations technicians handle non-sterile equipment and items to prevent sterile team members from affecting the aseptic environment. Surgical technicians work with surgeons, registered nurses and other hospital staff. Responsibilities for the position include equipment setup and tool sterilization in preparation for operations. Familiarity with retractors, needles, sponges and other instruments is required along with some assembly of materials.
