Responsibilities of a Surgical Technologist

Surgical technologists have a great deal of responsibility inside and outside of the operating room. Some of the responsibilities include but are not limited to patient transport, set up, sterilization of tools and equipment, preparation of patients, passing tools to surgeons during procedures and operations, monitoring patients vital signs and handling drugs and prescriptions. This position is extremely precise and technical. It is very important to know and accept the fact that every day that you are at work you are handling the life of a person.
